Gaps
A gap up opens above the previous close; a gap down below. They happen because news arrives when the market is shut — and NEPSE is shut nineteen hours a day plus Saturdays, so gaps are common here.
Gaps also defeat stop orders, which is the practical reason they matter more than their appearance suggests.
