| Margin of safety | Gap between intrinsic value and price, as a cushion |
| EPS (प्रति शेयर आम्दानी) | Net profit per share |
| BVPS (प्रति शेयर किताबी मूल्य) | Shareholders' equity per share |
| Bonus share (बोनस शेयर) | Extra shares issued free; ownership share unchanged |
| Rights share (हकप्रद शेयर) | Right to buy new shares at a set price |
| Cash dividend (नगद लाभांश) | Cash paid per share |
| EBITDA | Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation |
| OCF | Operating cash flow — cash from core trading |
| FCF | Free cash flow — OCF less capital expenditure |
| WACC | Weighted average cost of capital; the discount rate |
| Terminal value | Value of all cash flows beyond the forecast period |

| CUF | Capacity utilisation factor for a power plant |
| PPA | Power purchase agreement |

| DSCR | Debt service coverage ratio |

| NAV | Net asset value |
| Combined ratio | Loss ratio plus expense ratio, for a non-life insurer |
